Current members who have already successfully completed the audition process will not be required to audition. All others interested in becoming a member are required to audition.
How do I audition?
- Go to the Submit Your Audition page to submit a digital recording of yourself performing the material under “What to Play on Your Audition Recording” below. Please be sure that your recording is in one of the following formats: .mp3 .wav
- Recorded auditions for open seats will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
- MPWS will email confirmation that we received your recorded audition. If you do not receive the confirmation by the April 15th deadline, please contact us immediately—on or before April 16, 2020.
What is the audition judge looking for?
Our judges will be looking at tone quality, intonation, rhythmic accuracy and musical interpretation.
When is my audition recording due?
The remaining seats will be filled by qualified auditioners on a first come, first serve basis.
What Instruments Currently have open seats?
There are currently open seats for the following instruments:
- French Horn – 2 seats available
- Percussion – 3 seats available
