What We Offer

Mission Peak Wind Symphony is a public benefit nonprofit organization operated exclusively to educate and support music and the arts throughout the Bay Area.

Our Core Values

Artistic Expression

We offer young people an exciting opportunity to enhance their musical talents and share their accomplishments through public performances in the community.

Dedication and Inspiration

Members of the Mission Peak Wind Symphony will explore a variety of high quality, challenging music composed for concert band under the direction of Mr. Travis Nasatir. Rehearsals run for three hours one evening a week from September to June, with scheduled public performances in January and June of 2016.

Leadership and Responsibility

Each week all members are invited to attend a “Members Forum” which meets an hour before rehearsal. This is an optional informal meeting during which members develop the discussion topics, share ideas and give feedback to each other and the Music Director. This offers members the ability to help guide the program to achieve their desired goals and objectives. Mission Peak Wind Symphony encourages the members to own their experience.

Confidence and Success

Members will benefit from our program by playing exciting concert band music with other highly dedicated musicians striving for artistic excellence. The experience offered is not about competition with other students, schools, or music groups, but to realize true success—

“Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.” John R. Wooden
